Echols photograph collection is that of an Army public affairs officer who participated in numerous interesting and important assignments throughout his career before retiring as a colonel. This collection begins with his assignment with the motion picture film "Flirtation Walk" in 1934. There is one folder with several photos of Adolf Hitler and other Nazi officials and also numerous photos of General Douglas MacArthur in Korea in 1956 when Echols was a Public Information Officer (PIO) with General Headquarters. There are also several photos of movie and entertainment celebrities, notable is Bob Hope. There are numerous photos of his wife and family and their social activities.
